John Michael Osbourne, after his departure from Black Sabbath in 1979 Ozzy put together a few rehearsals with the band Necromandus and wheels were set in motion. Under the watchful eye of his future wife Sharon Arden things soon developed and gears were cranked up. Enter Randy Rhodes (ex Quiet Riot) and plank spanker extraordinaire. They were a formidable driving force and in 1980 with Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake fueling the engine we were invited to take a ride on the "Crazy Train" and sample the start of a brilliant solo career ... "ALL ABOARD".

The mans a legend !! Yes that first Ozzy album was very exciting!!!....Black Sabbaths album "Heaven and hell" was out similar time...ooo it was difficult to choose which one was better

I love Ozzy as a solo artist.Those first two albums with Randy are, at least to me, better than any Sabbath record.

They are two WICKED albums Cosmic, I think Ozzy was blessed with one of the best voices ever for that kind of heavy edged music.

I think he was much more blessed to have the most wickedly talented guitarist ever in his band. That's just me though.

Can't argue with that Cosmic, I'll just add together they were a force to be reckoned with.

Love the first 3 or 4 solo albums, I think Randy Rhoades was a major force in the band though, and I don't think people give enough credit to them as bandmates for the chemistry between them.. They complimented each other's sounds very well, and almost perfectly

Well done Sox.

I have rekindled my interest in Ozzy recently, mostly due to MP's and Thumper's unwholesome influence I'm sure.

Blizzard of Ozz is still my favorite Ozzy record.

He has done some great albums but I think I agree LG that first one really smokes.

So did anyone else think that the Ozzy albums without Bob Daisley really suffer the most?

For those who don't know Bob played bass and co-wrote most of the songs for "Blizzard of Ozz", "Diary of a Madman", "Bark at the Moon", "No Rest For The Wicked", and "No More Tears" and while he didn't play bass on "The Ultimate Sin" he co-wrote most of the songs.
