This group is an interesting one. They are a band from California that plays nostalgic retro rock with a fresh modern sound! The video that attracted me to them was this live studio one where inspired by Phil Spektor of all people lead singer, Chris Chu, decided to have that big studio experience where he could crowd in as many particiapants as he could. Here's the vid:

Excuses

This track comes off the new album:

Big Echo

Re: The Morning Benders

The Morning Benders backed the Submarines (one of my favourite bands) on their tour last year and they both did a cover of each other's songs. Dammit Anna was my favourite off their first album which is called Talking Through Tin Cans. Big Echo is a much better album/ I recommend it.

Zombeels, you should do some threads for this section dude! It's becoming my favorite section personally and having someone who knows their shit filling it up would be awesome! :grinthumb

Here's the album cover for the album referred to and I've moved the song here:

Re: The Morning Benders

Sorry S&S but to me this just sounds like stock standard indie rock. Like I've heard it all before. It could just be because I listen to so much of this kind of music, who knows, but unfortunately they don't really stand out to me. I still like it though, it's just to me their music is likeable but not loveable :grinthumb

You are right though the Excuses song to me felt like a moment! I did think of your taste when posting this band though so your reaction isn't surprising. I love this section because when I post stuff as I find it I have no bias! :D It's still fresh to me and I'm just as curious to hear others first impressions! :grinthumb
