Nice voice indeed....she reminds me of a more mainstream midtempo pastoral version of Laura Nyro.
The cover gives a nice atmospheric feel while listening to the songs though none of them really stand out much for me . Still....a pleaasnt lp for those who like mellow songs like that.
Great song by Stevens ( who of course caught some flack after he converted to Islam).
He has done some great lps over the years. with Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat being 5 star lps imo.
But can you tell us what classical piece 'Sitting' is based on....I couldnt find any...
My first car was the Mercury cyclone gt in dark blue...but only had it for a year and my dad paid for it.
Had to sell it for school then my dad got my brother and I this piece of crap for driving on campus

1966 Ford comet ....
Then I inherited my Uncles Olds...
Brufords drumming on the first UK lp is excellent...a clip of this one early intro track with Holdsworth on guitar, Wetton bass and vocals, Jobson on keys.
Not sure this is a 'power ballad' but its from 1970....certainly one of the earliest if it is.
From Humble Pie- 3rd lp...one of my all time favorite lps.
The artwork is by Aubrey Beardsley from the late 1800's ...his work is amazing check it out online

Roll away the stone
Don't leave me here alone
Resurrect me and protect me
Don't leave me layin' here
What will they do in two thousand years, yeah
WElcome to the forum.
I'm not a big fan of 'hair metal' but it fits the metal genre well.
You might like this thread where that song would fit in nicely and compare well with others there.

Heard of them but never bought the lp....they remind me of another twin guitar band called Wishbone Ash...especially the first 2 Wishbone lps.
