| Re: Hawkwind It's okay, I can always get a DVD now to replicate the experience of a live show. I do have a copy of Levitation, but it's still on the pile of CD's I haven't played yet. |

| Re: Hawkwind OK , you guys ready for this ...haha
I have : CDs..Hawkwind, In Search of Space, Doremi Fasol Latido, Space Ritual
Hall of the Mountain Grill, Warrior on the Edge of Time,
Live Seventy Nine, Levitation, Sonic Attack, Church of Hawkwind, Choose Your Masques, Zones, This Is Hawkwind, Do Not Panic, The Chronicle of the Black Sword, Live Chronicles, Space Bandits, The Xenon Codex, Electric Tepee, California Brainstorm , It Is the Business of the Future to Be Dangerous ( the only one I have that I don't like ), Alien 4, Take Me to Your Leader
Vinyl & MP3's : Space Ritual, Astounding Sounds Amazing Music, Quark Strangeness and Charm, PXR5, Choose Your Masques,
DVDs : The Chronicle of the Black Sword , Chaos, Hawkwind Live *Classic Rock Series*, Love in Space, Live at Stonehedge ,
I'm a huge Lemmy and Motorhead fan and Lemmy has influenced my bass playing almost as much as Geezer Bulter but I still laike a lot of the later era Hawkwind best all with Space Ritual and a few of the other older ones.
In short Hawkwind rules. The only stuff I don't like is their ambient releases. |

| Re: Hawkwind I only had Space Ritual and a couple others about 7 years ago but then I went on a Hawkwind buying frenzy . What can I say I'm a bit obsessive about collectioning music from bands I really like. |

| Re: Hawkwind I own the entire Hawkwind catalog on CD and some vinyl albums. I had the pleasure of seeing Hawkwind in concert twice, once in November 1990 and again in May 2007 at Nearfest in Bethlehem, Pa. I am awaiting their newest release and wonder if they are coming to the US this time around. I am going to check the website on this as I speak! Rock on space rockers! |

After a long tough bit of thinking I reckon "Hall Of The Mountain Grill" is my favourite album from Hawkwind DaKillerWolf but there are so many great ones.

| Re: Hawkwind From listening to this I can say that it's always cool to see where people come from but the music isn't my cup of tea. I've never been a huge Lemmy fan but it's even weirder hearing his vocals without heavy music. My favorite track I heard in this thread was actually the instrumental Sox posted! talented no doubt but must be an acquired taste! |

Sooty you must have lost your bearings again...
Hawkwind is an acquired taste, but their fans are extremely loyal. I discovered them a few years ago by accident. My older brother never had any of their albums when they started in the early 70's, but since then I have collected 5 of their albums. Lemmy actually brought a Heavier sound to the band, before he went on to found Motorhead.
When I hear the term "Space Rock", this band is the first one I think of, they were very progressive back in the day and helped establish that flavor of rock music. |

That about sums it up for me, Hawkwind never afraid to experiment and move on.

So true...I'll have to give my collection a revisit before deciding on a favorite. |
