Jimmy Crespo may be best known as the guitarist who replaced Joe Perry in Aerosmith from 1979-1984. Crespo appeared on the Night in the Ruts album and co-wrote the majority of songs on 1982's Rock in a Hard Place, performing almost all the guitar duties on the album. It will be interesting to see what his project does........I would give him credit if he came out with new material and didn't keep riding the skirttails of his time with Aerosmith.

THE JIMMY CRESPO PROJECT: This Weekend's Concert To Be Filmed For Promotional Video - Nov. 5, 2010
THE JIMMY CRESPO PROJECT, the new band led by Jimmy Crespo — best known as the guitarist who replaced Joe Perry in AEROSMITH from 1979 to 1984 — will film its November 6, 2010 concert at Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas, Nevada for a live promotional video. There is no cover for this show and the band will be followed by STEEL PANTHER.

THE JIMMY CRESPO PROJECT features Crespo, vocalist Chris Van Dahl (formerly of L.A. GUNS), bassist Kyle Kyle (BANG TANGO) and guitarist Michael Ellis (SIN CITY SINNERS).

Crespo appeared on AEROSMITH's "Night In The Ruts" album and co-wrote the majority of songs on 1982's "Rock In A Hard Place", performing almost all the guitar duties on the LP.

After years of performing with such artists as Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, Billy Squier, Dee Snider and Lita Ford, Jimmy has returned to center stage with THE JIMMY CRESPO PROJECT.

2012 will mark the 30-year anniversary of the release of "Rock In a Hard Place" and for the next two years Jimmy Crespo will let the music do the talkin'. THE JIMMY CRESPO PROJECT also has plans to release an album of origina material, that promises to pick up where classic AEROSMITH left off.
