Ahhh! Power Ballads


I will kick my post off with the first true power ballad band, Styx:

This video has an extended piano intro, very cool video






then the next to hit the power ballad scene, Journey:




And the next big Ballad band, REO Speedwagon:






These three bands are the Power Ballad Triumvirate


Now I will get to the 80's when everyone was making power ballads
