I don't know what it is Pat, but I just don't like the sound of Anthrax, I prefer Slayer in small doses of course.

I'm limiting myself to the ones I've actually seen live. There's plenty of good ones already mentioned that I've never seen. A few of the best I've seen are Sammy Hagar, Steve Perry, Steve Walsh, Mark Farner, Billy Squier, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Bruce Dickinson.

One not mentioned but by reputation was one of the best is Peter Wolf of J.Geils Band - I've always heard he was a maniac onstage.

It's ok as we know music is all an acquired taste.

Exclamation Re: most energetic lead singer

Iggy Pop of the Stooges has to rank way high up on the list.

I was just going to say him. I saw the Stones back in '81 and Jagger didn't hold a candle to the energy Peter Wolf had. The guy was spastic the whole set.

Well if Spastic counts then.. Joe Cocker takes the cake...

^^I positively Can't watch Joe Cocker sing...it's painful to me...

I have heard nothing but good things about Peter Wolf, but they have Never toured here, at least not that I can remember.

Nope, Thumper, Driving a Harley on stage doesn't count. Even Lady GaGa has dont that, and she isn't what I would call energy on stage.

Iggy was the first that came to my mind, too, Fox.

Another very energetic frontman would have to be Angus Young.
