I also agree with LG that Crest of a Knave was an excellent improvement from the previous Tull album, and the time, efforts put into these songs were very well done and greatly appreciated, imo!

^^You are the best Sir Jeffrey.

If there is no concert footage that does beg the question what they are going to fill the DVD with...

^^You know I really don't mind if they leave the concert DVD blank with no footage, if it is well produced 5.1 DTS then I can close my eyes and take a trip on my own without any help.

Well there´s a "New" interview with Ian on the DVD, but I think I could live without that one.

I don't know what his plans are, his foray into "World Music" is to satisfy his creative side, but when he tours he always plays his older songs. I did listen to the interview on the Aqualung remastered CD, where he told the story about the rift with Plant and Led Zeppelin and how it was all tongue in cheek and in good fun, but ended up offending Plant anyway. Ian has never been one to keep his mouth shut for long.

In anticipation of LG's next album review, here's the backstage pass for you all. Cut out and keep for use when the band next visit an auditorium near to you

^^I would call my "Chicken Scratch" introductions more than album reviews Jeffrey...

But I like to do them that way so many people are fans and fill out the information in no time at all, making it a lot of fun and less work for me.

I will have the next album up tomorrow, and I have the sequence right now, although I appreciate the subtle hint Sir Jeffrey.

So Jethro Tull won a Grammy Award for the previous album, and one would think they were all fired up and couldn't wait to record another album to take advantage of the situation that presented itself. In 1989 they released "Rock Island", the follow up to "...Knave", and the same band line-up intact as well, but there is a spark lacking to really separate the two recordings, "Rock..." could easily have been disc two of it's predecessor and many have described the band as "uninspired or going through the motions" on Rock Island. I don't think I would go that far, it is a good album not one of their all time best no denying that, but it warrants a listen. (Reminds me of some of the criticisms that Stormwatch garnered following after Heavy Horses, and all three albums Songs from the Wood, Heavy Horses and Stormwatch could have been considered a continuation of a single theme.) I will state again that I am a full blown Tull fanatic so it's possible that I don't always see things the same way as a neutral observer might, and I make no apology for that either.

The title track.
