You can still buy a lot of their CDs from Amazon.com .If you buy from their independent partners you can still get most of them for a decent price.
I talking about Amazon.com USA BTW ...Give them a look.
I saw a tribute band the other night with LOU/REALM and they were pretty good, called "In For The Kill" vocalist could have been better (he did wear the glasses like Burke) I am still waiting for them to release more of their back catalogue, apparently they are getting ready to release a new album, I will check this and post when I find out.
Budgie were a very influential Welsh heavy rock band . All or most modern metal bands are Budgie-influenced , even if they don't know it . Where is the love for Budgie ?

Right here in the thread you've been merged with! Three pages of Budgie at your command! Enjoy!
I remember looking through my Uncles vinyl at about 10 or so and seeing ( among many other greats ) his BUDGIE albums and really being drawn to them.
Probably because of the Budgie warriors, but then getting him to play them and just thinking " WOW ,that's sooooo cool, I wish I could make sounds like that !!"
Them, Black Sabbath ,Deep Purple ,Uriah Heep , UFO etc. that stuff totally and completely change everything I listened to from those days on, much to the chagrin of the rest of my family haha.
Local heroes here. See them when I can .... We are very proud of them.
Metallica are big fans too, it annoys me when people think they wrote 'Breadfan'.

Never really cared much for their early stuff, too derivative at the time (which can be said of many bands) but they sound much more interesting now, though "Power Supply" and "Nightflight" are classic rock albums...
the follow up to Night Flight "Deliver us from Evil" contains a great track "Don't Cry" but album was not up to the previous two, and in 2006 made an album called "You're all living in Cuckooland" ...but was a Turkey.
my favourite Budgie song "I Turned to Stone" from the 1981 "Night Flight" album...(i really don't know what's going on in this video but the sound is good)...

There's a really good video of budgie on youtube performing Who Do You Want For Your Love,on the Old Whistle Test,it's also included on the new remastered version of Bandolier as a bonus track,it knocks the socks off the studio version.
Sad to hear recently that Burke Shelley was taken ill and had to cancel the recent Budgie tour to have emergency surgery. He says he is recovering at home now and thanks everyone for their kind words and support and the surgeons in Poland and does not know what the future of the band is going to be.
You can now get Impeckable on amazon and from the Budgie webside, make sure you buy the ones on the Noteworthy label as they are the official band remasters.
We all wish you well and hope for a speedy recovery
