The 70s Soul/Funk/R&B Thread C'mon you know there's some 70s soul/funk/r&b you love. Admit it and start posting.
Take a group and post a couple of videos from that group please.
First up for me, The Main Ingredient.
Just Don't Want To Be Lonely (love that guitar!)

Re: The 70s Soul/Funk/R&B Thread Favorite R&B band of all time: Tower Of Power
I think they had the tightest horn section of any band I've ever heard. Great musicians, singers, songwriters. A Great, great band. And they're still touring.
Love me some James Brown too. I prefer his 70s era myself over the 60s hits. I could go the rest of my life without hearing "I Feel Good" again.

Re: The 70s Soul/Funk/R&B Thread WAR was a big fave back in the day. This was the band that Eric Burdon sort of discovered.
This is my favorite album by them:
The World Is A Ghetto (1972)
