| Hank Williams III (Official Thread) http://www.hank3.com/ http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/hank_iii/artist.jhtml http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hank_Williams_III
Hank Williams the third, A.K.A. Hank III, III
III is the grandson of legendary , original country outlaw, Hank Williams
and the son of Hank Williams Jr. His music is a blend of Trad. Outlaw country and his other influences, Punk, Metal , drugs and hard living. His sound is
something that is IMO the living musical persona of the new south, backwoods
and proud ,yet meshed into the mix is modern societies struggles and frustrations. A backwoods country-boy with a metallic heart.
HELLBILLY at it's best
Discography
1999 Risin' Outlaw
2002 Lovesick, Broke & Driftin'
2006 Straight to Hell
2010 Rebel Within
I own all the above ( full discography ) and I'm currently hunting for the DVD
Hank Williams III: Third Generation Outlaw, which is proving to be hard to locate.
Any other fans out there ?

| Re: Hank III Nice OP DKW,,,no I have never heard of him before, I think Magic likes his Dad, I enjoyed a few of his songs myself, but didn't know his son was active in the music business. From your description it sounds like he is carving out his own niche musically, which is cool. |

| Re: Hank III 'Straight to Hell' is one of my favorite cds to have come out in the past few years....looking forward to hearing his latest release.
How do you like his new one, DaKillerWolf? Does it have that aggressive edge that the first disc of 'Straight to Hell' has, or is it more laid back like 'Lovesick, Broke & Driftin' ? |

| Re: Hank III That video with the three Buds just initiated a flashback on this end...
I am retired from that field, but it was a lot of fun when I was younger. |

| Re: Hank III I heard some stuff from III a number of years ago and it was pretty rockin'. Much more rock than country. I'm a huge fan of his old man (Hank Jr) and I always figured I had time to check this stuff out, but other than a couple of songs I heard those years ago, I've pretty much forgotten about him
Will have to give these vids a listen tonight. |
