Geez, this is a tough one. Both are great and there's very little to separate them quality wise. I'm sure "Alive" will get its fair share of votes, so I'll show "Alive II" some love!

Loved them both, but "Alive" got my vote.

Alive! One of three or four live rock albums that I can really enjoy.

My only issue with Alive! II is the crowd is waaaaaaay to forward in the mix. Otherwise, this would have been a very tough decision to make.

My brother had a 8track player and i used to listen to Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over and Love Gun all were his I'd sneak the thing and listen to it.

I ended up buying my first new album Alive II at a place called Cavages Records in a local mall called Como Mall (bothe are long gone now)

So for that i selected AliveII

Thats tough. Both landmark records of all-time. i gave the edge to Alive II. My fave all-time live recording is Van Halen: Live without a Net but that was on DVD. I think that was also magical.
