Even though they denied rumors of a new album, Bad Company will be on tour this summer. They have one date booked with Joe Walsh and have another booked by themselves.
The show with Walsh, which is listed on the Events section of Walsh’s Facebook page — although not confirmed by Bad Company — finds them at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass., on June 9. A search at Ticketmaster also turns up a Bad Company date with no listed opening act on June 25 at the Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater in Hinckley, Minn.
Again, there is no confirmation, but conventional wisdom suggests that the two acts are planning a tour together on the shed circuit. It doesn’t make a ton of sense for a band — no less two — to only play a couple of dates in different parts of the country. Ultimate Classic Rock will keep you updated on the details if more shows are announced.
Bad Company have toured since original singer Paul Rodgers returned to the lineup in the late ’90s, even though founding bassist Boz Burrell died in 2006. Howard Leese, formerly of Heart, has been with them as a secondary guitarist since 2008, and Todd Ronning joined as the bassist in 2012. Although they took last year off, they embarked on co-headlining dates with Lynyrd Skynyrd in the summers of 2013 and 2014.
Last month a rumor circulated that Bad Company were working on a new studio album — their first with Rodgers since 1982’s Rough Diamonds. However, it was quickly denied by Bad Company’s publicist.
For Walsh, it will mark his first concert since the Jan. 18 death of fellow Eagle Glenn Frey. Two weeks ago, he and the other surviving Eagles, Jackson Browne and former member Bernie Leadon sang “Take It Easy” in tribute to Frey at the Grammys.

I'd love a new BC album.
Joe should do a James Gang tour. It's been a while for those guys.

Why can't we get this kind of tour in The UK? We've got the venues and the crowds would come.
One Hell Of A Night US tour sees Bad Company and Joe Walsh in first road trip together
Bad Company and Joe Walsh have confirmed their first-ever tour together after weeks of speculation.
Paul Rodgers’ band will hit the road with the Eagles man for 25 shows, starting on May 12 in Texas and ending on July 3 in Tennessee. The outfits will take turns headlining.
Rodgers says: “I’d always hoped we would do something together, and so here we are. It’s taken us this long, so I wouldn’t miss this – unless you want to wait 30 more years for our next tour in 2046.”
Walsh adds: “Paul and I agreed it would be a hell of an evening of music, one that will be memorable for everyone who comes, and us. And that’s important in this day and age.”
Tour support comes from Rodgers’ son Steve.
Bad Company this week announced the release of a double-length live album recorded in 1977 and 1979.
