Alex Lifeson: Rush Is NOT Over, Geddy and I Will Work on New Music Soon

On a positive note, he emphatically stated that Rush as an entity is not finished and that 'we will be doing things together again,' but again - no timetable or specifics.

I know eventually all GREAT things must end. But I'm still a little hopeful for new Rush music.

Years ago when Rush came back, and their newer albums were spaced longer apart, I was saying )and still) "I'd rather have new Rush music on a regular basis, than seeing them live". Hopefully they'll move into that direction.

Like other classic bands, I understand the long grinding tours aren't as much fun anymore.

But I would love a new album from Rush or any other band from that era, tour or no.

I've gone to very few concerts, so no tour wouldn't matter to me.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. Would be fine with them no longer touring but still releasing albums.

My guess would be a new album, string of shows at ACC (Air Canada Center) and a DVD.

That way you don't have to tour, fans will fly in from all over for that.
