Ironically the rock band gets more cred on the soul song than the soul singer! I love Creedence and I like other Stevie songs far more than that one!  |

My first thought when I read the thread title was "ooh, good matchup - Marvin Gaye vs, Stevie Wonder"...but if it's CCR...no thanks...Stevie Wonder by a mile here. I'd take Marvin's version OR Gladys Knight & the Pips version long before CCR's. | |

I prefer CCR's cover to Marvin's version, especially the funky drumming of Doug "Cosmo" Clifford.

Wow, I happen to like all three versions of Grapevine..all have a unique take on a great song
I also adore Stevie Wonder/even his more popish stuff
I like Framptons cover of Signed Sealed Delivered too
it was tuff but I went with Grapevine/because that song is great no MATTER who does it
