I am a huge Monkee fan as I am a Beatles fan, and have collected anything I could get my hands onto.
Let's Monkee around and focus more on the talents of these 4 guys, the working of a real band as well as having fun with the television show, movie, merch. ect.
Those that have not cared much, past the television show, should have fun viewing.
Post opinions,pictures,vids...
I'll start with two songs from Micael Nesmith!
The first from 33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee in his "fantasy sequence" where he sings Naked Persimmon
The second from Michael Nesmith & The First National Band ~ Silver Moon
First 8 minutes of the movie HEAD!! If you haven't seen this watch it all. This includes the entire PORPOISE song opening sequence. Very beautiful song and VERY TRIPPY!!!
The original 4 on their 97 European tour doing Listen To The Band & Porpoise Song (motion starts 5 seconds in)
I always love the Monkees music as well as their TV show. Whenever I would be asked to bring the music for a party whether it was in the 80's or even now,I always had/have the Monkees. At any time you can throw a Monkees tune in the mix & people will love it.
My Favorite tunes are "Pleasant Valley Sunday","Stepping Stone", & "Mary Mary" but I love just about everything they did.

When I was a young girl about 13, Davy Jones was such a heart throb.
Davy Jones still looks good for a man his age
I wanted to "rumble" with Marcia Brady over the guest appearance of Davy on the Brady Bunch.
I also found this Smithsonian film clip talking about an instance where Peter Tork and Davy Jones had an actual fist fight over band issues. Then they decided to make a parody out of it on one of their shows.
