This could be interesting. Robbie Robertson has written a book on his life and career, set from his beginning up until "The Last Waltz"

Check out the review on https://www.theguardian.com/books/20...bob-dylan-band

Just what is it about the Band's material that it seems to fit quite snuggly in with a night of '60's music listening that may also include more conceptually diverse mind expanding works provided by acts like Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Doors and Country Joe and the Fish? While at first seemingly incongruous to these optional mind expanding vibes, there exists an unnamed and intriguing similarity in the area of emotional conveyance. In each instance of truly great Vietnam era album oriented rock, the listener is greatly engaged in same manner as movie buffs are entranced by "Citizen Kane".The Band's music and lyrics both captivate one towards sympathy and perhaps even empathy concerning the group's well articulated folk musings.....
