I have to agree with your choice of Stevie. Can't stand his voice.

4. Aretha Franklin - the greatest of her style, without a doubt. Great singer
5. Bruce Springsteen - fantastic singer, his voice just works with his music in an amazing way. |
I'm gonna have to let the Boss go from this list, coz I realized I forgot a the voice of rock and roll himself |

Karen Carpenter
Stevie Nicks

Dusty Springfield
Fellas:
Russell Mael

Though these things change often (and I'm known to be indecisive). |

Neil Sedaka I am a little surprised by that one, I do like a couple of his songs though. |

| Re: Top 5 Singers/Vocalists Very tough question but I've finally decided on these five, at least for the moment. In no particular order:
Jim Morrison (Doors)
Jay Black (Jay & the Americans)
Allan Clark (Hollies)
Roger Daltrey (Who)
Solomon Burke |

| Re: Top 5 Singers/Vocalists Yeeesss. I have a lot of their records in my collection; I have always admired Karen from her voice to her beauty. Tender music that got me through a lot of tough times.
Neil. Yeah. I remember being a little younger than today, pirating tons of his music, playing it all day, and having my mother ask me when I was going to come out of that phase. I love his voice, though. I love any kind of odd vocal style, come to think of it. |
