When you need to punk out, these fellows will get you there, oh yes they will, heeee, heeeee! I can speak from personal experience here. I had the fortune/misfortune to see - and hear - these fellows "perform" live at the New Yorker Theater on Yonge Street in Toronto when I was a callow youth, but already cynical, youth in 1977. It took me years to fully recover from the experience. So trust me when I say that these fellows are the real deal.

there's no way to describe it except for, "thats f**king punk rock!" I have loved every clip I've seen live and I can imagine that would have been an intense show, not one you walk away with much less than a black eye, or a good smack to the nose..... Who ever came up with the title "Young, Loud, and Snotty" is brilliant as well, it really describes the whole punk scene very well, awesome album with an awesome title, and Live At CBGB is so cool as well
Definitely brought more violence to punk shows and their first album is their best with out a doubt.

They actually seem to have a decent underground following from some of the folks my age, I haven't seen much talk of them for a while, but they are always on the influence list of the up and coming punk rockers... I agree though, they do still deserve more

I agree. The more I read about Genya, the more impressed I become.
Great Band & I even loved Stiv Bators Lords of the New Church. Back in the mid 80's I seen a band from Ohio called Club Wow open for Teenage Head. Club Wow was a cool band that featured Jimmy Zero from the Dead Boys, Frank Secich from Blue Ash, & Willie Sullivan who is currently in Herman's Hermits.
Young, Loud and Snotty was one of the first punk albums I ever got and it will always hold a special place in my heart. The second album had its moments but wasn't as solid and they quickly fizzled out shortly after that. The Dead Boys were another band who grew out of seminal Cleveland proto-punks Rocket From the Tombs (Pere Ubu being the other). I always considered the Dead Boys to be America's answer to the Damned.
