Question Are the Rolling Stones really Satanists?

There are some who put forth the proposition that the Rolling Stones are Satanists!

The Rolling Stones and Satanism

Could this be so?

And more importantly does it matter worth a twit?

Or are the people who embrace this proposition the twits?

I'm so confused. Where's Reverend Rock? Maybe he could shed some light on this subject....

The music is the meat of what counts in the artist or else you aren't in it for the music period. Very simple IMO. I don't care what the artist do in their personal lives if they present a product or content, preferable artistic, that satisfies me. But if you are going to not condemn the Stones for worshiping Beezlebub I find it fitting that you would have the same attitude towards Marilyn Manson, Tom Cruise and Cat Stevens for their beliefs or views!

It doesn't matter ... I listen to music for enjoyment and not secret/hidden messages.

AND ... if people want to embrace this kind of b/s .. I would call them a 'twit' ..

I heard that the good Reverend is hiding under the rock but I could be confused on this issue ...

I always have to laugh at this stuff! Every time I go to a concert(especially the free out door concerts) these protesters are out their with their signs. Hell, this past weekend I was at a food festival & they were protesting that. I used to work with a guy who was born again & I loved getting into discussions about music because he was convinced that rock music was the work of the Devil. I didn't believe any of that crap but I did enjoy a book he gave me by Fletcher Brothers where Brothers had chapters on all different satanic bands including Bruce Springsteen!!! This was around '84 so I can't remember many of the details on bands but it was similar to this article. He also gave me a video of a kid who was born again after trying to kill himself after listening to Judas Priest. He put a shotgun in his mouth & actually lived (his face is pretty messed up after that) & he blamed it all on Judas Priest!!!!!

As we all know the Devil has the best music

The best musicians have walked to the "Crossroads" and sold their soul for Rock'n'Roll - and some have survived...

In the early 1800's the Classical violinist Paganini was so gifted they thought he had made a pact with the Devil, so the story goes. He even mastered a piece by Tartini called "The Devil's Trill".

I never see protestors at concerts ... Is this something common in Buffalo? I've been to concerts (free events too) in New York (City area and Long Island) .. Florida ... Louisiana and Ontario and never see or perhaps notice anyone protesting ...

Btw ~ This is a really good CD ~

The way I see it, the insanely extreme pleasure I take in music alone has kept hellfire licking at my ankles since I was old enough to walk. Therefore, who gives a damn?

Was the protest about Foreigner, Kansas, the Stones worshipping Satan or ticket prices? I would protest ticket prices but not groups worshipping Satan.

Btw ~ I can't imagine Charlie Watts worshipping Satan unless Satan wore custom made Armani suits ...

LOL Charlie worshipping Satan!!!!

It couldn't have been the ticket prices as Foreigner, Kansas, & the Doobie Brothers were all free shows!!

On a side note back in the 70's when I was 15 & Kiss ruled all (actually they still do for me!!!) My friends & I wanted to learn instruments & form a band & the name we wanted to call ourselves was..."HELL". It was simple, powerful, & I thought it was a cool name (Similar to KISS). I wasn't into Devil Worshipping & even attended Church(which I still do).
Just because I may listen & love some music that could be deemed Satanic doesn't mean I am. I have a hilarious Punk song by a band called the Sic F*cks called "Chop Up Your Mother" but as much as I enjoy the song I never felt like taking an Axe to my mom

Maybe it's the water in western New York.

Have their recent concerts been that bad? Maybe Kansas and Foreigner should hang it up then.

Well that makes two of us anyway. I've never felt like taking an axe to your mother either.
