| Re: Jethro Tull I'm a Tull fan, they're a great band. Who would have figured you could use a flute in rock music, but they pulled it off. We cover Locomotive Breath and we're working on A New Day Yesterday. |

Cool! Another Tull fan here on the boards!
Yes, Ian Anderson is a musical genious! To be able to incorporate flute into rock is a feat in itself. |

| Re: Jethro Tull boy, do I love "Aqualung"
stands up pretty good, don't it?
in fact, I'm often amazed, when I hear them on the radio, what an instantly identifiable band they are.
NOBODY sounds like Tull.
a true rock and roll original.
I remember when "Living in the Past" came out. It was like a catch-all for some b-sides and things that hadn't been released in the Good Ol' U.S.A. yet. It was startling WHAT a wealth of good material they had already back logged so early into the decade.
last year, I gave their 'Christmas' thingy a few spins and you know what?
it still sounds like Jethro Tull to me. |

I have to pick that one up. I've heard many cool things about it.
I'll put it on my "before Christmas" list.
My wife never reads my wishlist on Amazon. Last year I wanted some DVDs for X-Mas but got boots instead.
I showed my kids the Ice Cream Ball and now they want it. Maybe Santa will bring it this year |

| Re: Jethro Tull Really like this band a lot. Thick As A Brick is probably my favorite album too.
Ian Anderson influenced me to pick flute as my instrument in band since they didn't offer guitar. Unfortunately we didn't have enough clarinet players at one time so they made me switch for the last half of my concert band career in intermediate and high school. Oh well...

| Re: Jethro Tull Hello,
I've been a Tull fan since 1972 when I saw the Passion Play tour. Since then I've been to over 40 Tull shows. |
