| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Lol Iron Maiden. I don't have much of a valid opinion of them but man, their shirts are everywhere in stores like Hot Topic (which I refuse to shop at). I see 15 year olds sporting them like they are actual fans, representing a band they love. The fact of the matter is, if it has a cool design it will be bought. Regardless of the zero knowledge of the band behind the shirt. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier If kids are buying the t-shirts that is a good thing, maybe they will even give the band a listen, anything that gets them out of the mainstream music that is out there is a good thing...besides Iron Maiden shirts are Cool. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Anything with Eddie is cool as far as I am concerned! As of the album, I'll be getting it when I get my new harddrive, at the moment my computer is fragile and I don't want to overwork it in case it blows up

Personally, I like the reunion stuff more than the classic era... |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier ^^I don't know if I could say that DOA, but I do agree when Bruce rejoined the band they were back in good form.
It's hard to explain to younger fans how massively important Maiden and Priest were back in the late 70's early 80's, groundbreaking taking metal further than it had been before. It would take a spectacular album to supplant some of the masterpieces of their early catalog, and I haven't listened to the newest one enough to make a decision on where it ranks yet.
I am just happy they are still active and touring and enjoying themselves again. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier I'm in between...I don't know if I like the newer stuff "better" but let me say that it depends on my mood. It's two different things really. The last 4 Maiden albums have been just EPIC...not that the classic ones aren't...but in a different way y'know?
Let's put it this way...I defend the last 4 albums to people that wish to say that the New Maiden blows or whatever..I'm like
Really?? |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier I know what you mean MP, I am not stuck in a time warp or anything, but in my humble opinion, Maiden has never surpassed their Trilogy.

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Its mainly all the younger metalheads who are into stuff like Black Metal and Death Metal that are calling this album bland. I know this because a lot of my friends told me it was just "okay" and that it wasn't "that good". The ones who tend to listen to obscure death metal bands. Because I loved this album straight from the beginning. It didn't need to grow on me like it diid with some of my friends. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Well I've got the album and given it one spin, and it's pretty good so far. I'll need to listen a few more times before I can properly gauge it though.

Can't argue that one at all. Three of the best metal albums of all time. |
