| Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Just got this album today. My GOD does it rock. Any Iron Maiden fan should have it. I'd read mostly negative reviews but I just got the damn thing and gave a spin. It's a masterpiece, It's a prog/rock, metallic masterpiece. Any Iron Maiden fan, or fans of adventurous, proggy metal needs to get it a.s.a.p. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier I heard the leading single and was very interested, it was very spacey and metal at the same time, it's definitely on my list!

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier I've only heard the entire CD once but I really like it already. I was expecting not to like it all after reading mostly negative reviews. It's suppose to "grow on you" you need to be "patient" with it. Bull****, the thing kills from top to bottom. As I spin it more my impressions will change. And if I must say something negative about it it's that it is a marathon of an album to listen to. It's not quite a "Flower Kings" album (those are effing marathons for sure) but it could've used some editing on some of the longer tracks. I personally think it's as good as (maybe better) "A Matter Of Life And Death" and it is certainly a better produced album. I read that the album was recorded "live on the floor" (whatever that means). It's supposed to have this "loose" sound or something. Well to me it's a tight, well produced album. Nicko especially shines. And Bruce sounds great too.
Highly recommended. Three big thumbs up. |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier It is not an easy album. It takes time and a few more spins to fully appreciate and enjoy this release and I'm not totally convinced yet . But it is definitely a grower to me. The second part of the album starting with "Isle of Avalon" is very good. "Starblind" is superb. It's hard for me to say if this album is the best from the post 2000 era but it's good . Anyway I stopped looking in every new Maiden album a new Powerslave or a new Seventh Sons.... The 80's are over . |

| Re: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier Good post b.o.b. It's gonna be a "grower" for a lot of people. It didn't do any growin' on me, I loved it after one spin. I've been playing it exclusively since Saturday and I think I'm on my third spin. I absolutely love it. "Coming Home" and "The Alchemist" have some gorgeous, harmony guitars. The guitars are "hot" on this album but I think they're awesome. And again, Bruce's voice is top notch. No, it's not Powerslave or Piece Of Mind, but it is damn good. It's now my favorite of the last 4 reunion albums.
