it's ok, y'all. i was being melodramatic for the helluvit. if i want cocteau support, i can venture on over to this certain brit board i visit on occasion. there, i'll get... well, some support. mwhahahahaa. they're a cantankerous if witty lot.
i do hope someone'll repost that blind melon. cuz i already forgot what it was.
I'll rate the Blind Melon song then, swing things back on topic
It was quite good, the lead voice was slightly annoying (not much though) but the female voice more than made up for it. Also liked the strings usage too, so 7/10.
Does the singer of that band have a Flock of Seagulls haircut? :wft:
I didn't care for the first minute or so where everything sound kinda muffled like it's in a tin can or something but after that it got better. I liked the chorus and the strings were nice but it's not really my preferred sort of song. I can't really knock it for anything major since I can see why anyone more into that type of sound would like it.
I'll give it a 6 out of 10.
Now for something more uppity perhaps?
(((Nevermind the crappy fan made video that goes along with the song)))
Now it wasn't until recently that I learned of "Wizard Rock" but there's Pirate Rock too? Is there Ninja rock out there somewhere too or is it so stealthy that no one knows of it?
The Dropkick Murphys are Celtic punk but with that song in particular (along with "Shipping Off The Boston") I could see how they come across very piratey.
That's a pretty cool song. I thought the video with the Twinkie man was pretty cool too. 8 our of 10.
