I discovered this band a few months ago thanks to a friend of mine, and have been a fan ever since. A progressive metal band from Florida formed in 1978 they have been inactive for a while now.

They are pretty diverse actually. Some albums are metal, other albums are progressive rock and even classic (as in classical music).

Here's a great album, reminds me a little of Queensryche's magnum opus Operation Mindcrime, a concept album about life on the Streets done in Savatage's own unique style of course.

I Have Hall of the Mountain King & Gutter Ballet. I like them both but prefer Gutter Ballet

Opposite for me, I prefer Hall to Gutter, but I like Savatage, they are a very underrated band in my opinion. It's funny my Belgian friend OB introduced me to them over a year ago now, and they have been around for a long time...lol.

Uhm guys, dead winter dead is by far their best album.
