Default Sub forum for cover and tribute bands

Hey guys,

#1, I love this site. I really enjoy spending my time here. :-) I wanted to know if a discussion board on this site about live local tribute bands, cover acts and original music bands playing club circuits... There are a couple of acts in L.A. like Tooth and Nail (a nice Dokken tribute band) and Ozzytrain that plays Rhodes/Lee/Wylde era Ozzy Osbourne... They are great.

I think there's a lot to talk about out there.

Default sub forum for cover and tribute bands

Dairenn,

Do you mean a sub-forum just for cover bands? It is do-able. Start making some threads, and be sure to tag them "cover bands". I will see what kind of responses the threads get in a couple weeks then I can always move the threads into a new sub-forum.

We do have a thread for cover band recommendations:

Thanks, Magic.

Yes, I was thinking along the lines of any local acts that are either original rockers or they do covers/tributes. I'll be posting some contributions shortly!

That's great, Dairenn. I am sure once you start posting some cover bands and tribute bands, other members will also. Once we have atleast 15 threads going, I can open a forum to put them in.

I have seen a few of them live like, Strutter, Destroyer, Hotter Than Hell and Mr. Speed and they freakin rocked and I will indeed contribute to the tribute band forum when we get one and I will start a few tribute band threads this weekend if all goes well.

I just ordered a cd by a Kiss tribute band called Klown. The album is Klown Alive II & their pretty funny but the few songs I heard sounded pretty cool. Instead of dressing as Kiss they dress as Clowns. The few songs from performances on you tube are pretty crappy quality but I heard songs from the album on a Podcast & was impressed

I used to play an all-female AC/DC tribute band on the radio called Thundherstruck.

I play in a Zeppelin tribute in Dallas ( Swan Song) and both Destroyer and Strutter have opened for us at big outdoor gigs. Destroyer is a local Dallas band. KISS tributes are always fun.
