The New Youtube

For anyone who's seen the way youtube is changing it's format I thought I'd clear up something. I know I was confused at first!

Instead of having the gray box on the side that has the url we copy/paste into our post to embed you now just have to go to the share option below each video to get it!

What about copying the end of the url into tags, is that still good?

Yep, they just made it appear in a different spot! When I saw the embed code thing in their now I was like "Oh shit, they are trying to make it harder to embed videos!" but it's all essentially the same as before!

No problem! You're the first person I saw who noticed actually and eventually the videos I was looking for did it too!

I've never used that. I always use the [yt] tags here and just put in the scrambled numbers/letters/symbols.

That's the best way to do it.. But Warner makes it so you can't copy and hot link a video..

Ok, I don't know how the hell to do the "embedded" way, I always try to do it via the [ yt ] tags and using the nonsensical jibberish of letters, numbers and symbols.

It's everything after the =sign between the tags. So with yours you would have this pasted between them vD9viOfFxZM.

Yeah, I know how to do the vljasldkf02938 way, but I see when i quote some people (as I did with thumper) that it shows up as a long string of jibberish. When I normally do it, I just [ yt ]203ajsd901 [ /yt] and it's never a problem.

Just trying to educate myself with some OTHER way of doing it as I know that there's a way dealing with "SHARE THIS" from youtube itself, just don't know what the hell it is.

I think the way Thumper, MP, and a couple others are sharing the youtube videos is done when they are logged into youtube.

They are still using the [*yt*] tags but their embed codes come from youtube. Their codes are the actual HTML code for the video.
