I can't seem to figure out how to post pictures in a thread. I got the YouTube thing down, but not pics. Can someone help?
Grendel, I know you sent me a PM but I couldn't figure it out.

Let's break it down, nice and easy here.
This is an image tag: /img/ (replace the slashes with [brackets]).
Your image location will begin with http:// and end with .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .pdf, etc. That's the link you need to put in between image tags.
An image tag is closed with a slash, [/like this].
After you're done reading this post, hit "quote" and look at how I embedded my avatar as an example.

Remove the full stops from this and insert the URL of the image in there.
If the image is on your computer, you'll need to upload it to Photobucket or a similar site first. | |

it's not working.  : I am searching for images on Google and then taking the url from the top of the page.

holy crap it worked. maybe the pics i tried to post before didn't have the right suffix

The image tag needs to end in .jpg .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .pdf or it will not work .. some tags end in .jpg?vxtyx and you need to delete everything after the jpg

Lots of good advice everyone, thanks.
Architect I will post a "How To Use" Photobucket thread tomorrow, it is what I use for my images. I just like Having them on my pc in case they go missing from the site you linked from. | |
