| [Resolved] Delete posts? Is there a delete option for posts?
Sometimes I post something, then want to delete it.
Other forum's have this option. I think it would be a good option to have.
Just asking. |

| Re: Delete Posts? The mods have that option but standard users do not.
If you want a post deleted then edit it saying so and I'm sure one of the staff members will clean it up for you. |

| Re: [Resolved] Delete posts? Why is that option disabled for normal members? On other V-bulletin forums the users have that option so it is possible. |

| Re: [Resolved] Delete posts? Admins choice, we like it this way, and I have never been part of a forum that allowed members that option. It really isn't necessary we can take care of anything that needs deleting. |

| Re: [Resolved] Delete posts? The reason we do not allow members to delete their own posts is because it could disrupt a thread. Another reason, is once a post is deleted, a small deletion block remains in the thread until a staff member removes it and we feel this looks untidy. If you are uncomfortable with what you printed in the post...just edit the post to a smiley then report the post for deletion.
Staff is present in the forum almost 24/7, therefore, to report your own post or ask a staff member to delete it, isn't asking too much |

You know that only moderators and administrators see those small deletion blocks right?
Well, not arguing. I understand and was just curious. About the disrupting threads I have to agree with you. |

| Re: [Resolved] Delete posts? I have been in forums where you see those deleted blocks. In fact, I saw them on this board while I was a regular member, before I became admin. And I see the garbage can icons on the main forum index pages. I hate those icons |
