You are right Stout, he should have just owned up and tell the truth. Andy Pettite admitted he used steroids, took his punishment and moved on, and they are good friends. I believe the trainer is right, and he would know who he was giving what to over the years, Clemens is all about damage control and his legacy and the truth be damned. I remember when Jose Canseco published his book everyone thought he was an idiot and just making things up, as things have progressed we see that he was not only right but the number of players cheating and damaging themselves was far greater than we ever suspected.
Reminds me of Marion Jones, she wouldn't admit to cheating even though her boyfriend/husband was using steroids for years, and then she finally admitted what everyone already knew. I don't really believe in much anymore as far as athletes go, it's all about the money and fame, honor is pretty much a forgotten attribute now.
