I expect the Jets to do some serious damage in the league though. I've despised that team for years but I like seeing a group of renegades kick a few keesters and keep everyone honest. I'm actually gonna root for the Jets from a distance .
Well at least Chad Henne looks like he is "for real."

Yeah I think Chad will be one of those solid QBs. He won't have the impact that Dan Marino had but, who knows? I think he's accurate but not sure how strong he is. We'll see.

I think so too but I think they might make one more run before it's too late. They're the last "dynasty" we've seen in the NFL for a decade.

My top two teams are the Saints and the Jets ... I'm still sad that the Jets traded Chad Pennington but Mark Sanchez had a great rookie year.

I do agree that Chad Henne has a fine career in front of him and poor Chad Pennington is now (according to what I've read) will be in the number 3 slot.

Pennington at #3 is ridiculous. Tyler Thigpen is a system QB who played exclusively in the spread in college (and in Kansas City with the Chiefs for that matter). Pat White is a "wildcat" quarterback who shouldn't be throwing 25-30 passes a game in the NFL. Point being, nobody on the Dolphins is "better" than Pennington, except perhaps for Henne (who probably has more upside at this point).

The only thing I can think of is that Pennington's durability concerns the team. I have no problem with Henne being the starter but Pennington should be 2nd string, not third.

Chad was a good solid QB for a long time, but he was unfortunate that his team plays in the same division as Tom Brady's. I always liked him even though he doesn't have the strongest arm, and his teammates always respected him as well.

New Orleans repeating...I don't follow the games as closely as I used to, or player movements/the draft, but I just don't see the Saints repeating this year. They are about to find out how hard it is to play every week being the Champion, every team gives you their "A" game, that is the price of success in the NFL.

All teams should play their "A" game every week .. Sean Payton is a great coach .. very innovative and he's the edge that the Saints need ....

True enough, but if you ask any previous champion and their coaches they will tell you there is a definite ramping up of intensity when you are the current Super Bowl champ. Every team measures themselves against you, so it's pretty much a Playoff season for your team. That is why repeating especially now is tougher than ever before, add the salary cap and it's impossible to dominate like the era I grew up in.

Saints will not win the Super Bowl this year, I just don't see it happening. I am a AFC fan more anyway, we'll see who gets through this year, Indy is a disappointing playoff team to me, great in the regular season, mediocre in the real season.

If the Patriots are done, then I expect Brady to ask for a trade at the end of the season, they have had a great run and stayed near the top for almost 10 years, that is unbelievable in today's league to me.

Sean will be ready and waiting .... Only time will tell ... Drew has a few good years left too and Reggie seems to have come out of his funk ...

In the CFL ... Winnipeg is still missing Doug Berry (Coach), Milt Stegall and Charles Roberts but appears to have a better defense this year than last year ... It's too bad that they traded/let go some of their better receivers such as Derek Armstrong.

Also, I hope that Ricky Ray perks up for the Eskimos .. it's also a shame that Jason Maas doesn't get more play time but you can't really have both things happening.

You can't just replace those two fellows unfortunately. Milt Stegall in particular was quite possibly the best receiver of all time in the CFL. His place in the record book speaks for itself:

Most TDs in a career - 147
Most TDs in one season - 23 (2002)
Most yards per catch in a season - 26.5 (1997)
Most yards receiving in a CFL career -15,071

CFL Most Outstanding Player - 2002
Named as receiver in top passing tandem in CFL history together with Khari Jones.
Voted 15th of the CFL's Top 50 players of the modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.

He was nicknamed "The Turtle Man" by his teammmates because of his ripped midsection.

I agree. Jason is easily the best backup quarterback in the league. He's also quite the character with a well established reputation as the tightest man in the league. Heaven forbid that he spend any of his meal allowance on the road. He subsists on Tupperware containers of cold spaghetti on the road - much to the horror of his coaches and teammates, particularly any of Italian ancestry.
