I've been brought up by two Brooklyn Dodger fans .. My first words were said to be "I hate those Damn Yankees".
I knew that some moonweed would stick up for the Yankees .. I need to get some weed spray .. Oops, I already have some .. Hehehe ...
Well my mom was a Brooklyn Dodger girl and my dad was the yankee fan. Dad won out with me mostly because of his football ties (he knew the trainers) to the NY Giants who also played at Yankee stadium. So he was able to get great Yankee tickets. Plus the Dodgers were in LA.
glad I always keep a bottle of anti-skunk stray around

FAIL: Eugenio Velez's San 'Francicso'
By David Brown
You can take the Giants out of San Francisco for a road trip, the saying goes, but you're not allowed to misspell the city's name on the team's uniform tops.
That's right, a Majestic jersey failure — figuratively and literally — has happened for a second straight season in Major League Baseball.
When Giants reserve Eugenio Velez(notes) took the field for a double switch in the seventh inning at Houston on Wednesday night, he apparently had no idea his road grays read: "San Francicso."
San F-R-A-N-C-I-C-S ... uh-oh. That's not where Tony Bennett left his heart. That's not where hippies suggested you wear some flowers in your hair. It's not the place to ask for directions to San Jose.
San Francicso? Really?
The Associated Press reached Velez by phone on the Giants team bus as it rolled to the airport.
Fortunately, he took the news well:
"No, no, I didn't know," Velez said. "That's the first I've heard."
Everyone else's jerseys were fine. Apparently, nobody on the team noticed Velez's, or if someone did, he didn't speak to Velez about it.
"Incredible!" the Dominican said in Spanish.
It's incredible, all right, that Majestic has seen something like this happen on its watch again. The athletic wear company manufactures all of MLB's jerseys, and apparently it learned nothing from the uproariously funny Washington "Natinals" debacle of a season ago.
Then, a missing "o." Now, transposed letters — a dysfunction that is merely dyslexic.
At least Nationals is a relatively new nickname. San Francisco has been in the Bay Area since 1776, and it's had a baseball team since 1958.
Which mistake do you think is worse?
The Giants, by the way, say the bug will be fixed by the team's next road trip.
I am watching the Yankees/Rays game and you would think the game is in New York by the way the crowd is cheering.
That's common with Yanks vs florida teams, lots of transplanted NYers in Florida. Luckly CC gave up a hit in the eight or we might have had an argument in the Yankee dugout. The papers this morning said that was his lastis last batter anyway and Girardi would have pulled CC even with 8 innings into a no hitter.

I`m a New Yorker, and I`ve been a yankee fan since the days of Thurman Munson, Chris chambliss, Willie Randolph, Bucky Dent,Lou Piniellla, Mickey Rivers, Ron Guidry, Catfish Hunter, Sparky Lyle, Rich Gossage, Reggie Jackson, and my personal favorite, the greatest third baseman of all time, Graig Nettles. The man made some of the most spectacular, acrobatic diving stab catches at third base. Even Brooks Robinson, who many regard as the best, holds Nettles in high regard. and why isn`t Nettles in the Hall of Fame.?Pure and simple, the baseball hall of fame sucks, just as much as the rock and roll hall of fame does. Both are worthless institutions presided over by petty scribes.
And I cant forget Billly Martin. We need his kind of managing in baseball again.
During the 80`s ,the Yankees were merely good, heading toward mediocrity , and into plain awful territory. The best we had in the latter `80`s was Don Mattingly. I was abused mightily by Mets fans when their team were the Kings of New York.
1996 was a great year in which the Yanks climbed on back to the top of the world, and I especially loved the 2000 Subway Series.
Nowadays, I`m a casual follower, but it`s hard for me to get excited over multimillionares playing ball. I still love baseball, but I hate the direction the game has been heading towards.
Watching the Mets and Cards 0-0 in the 18th inning.Shortstop Felipe Lopez is now pitching for St.Louis
yeah I watched the last few innings. Met scored 1 in the 19th and the Cards cameback with a run with one in the bottom of the 19th. Mets take it in the 20th.
