| Re: What movies do you hate? I liked a few of the Carry On movies, I was a big fan of the 70's BBC comedy factory that produced quite a few really good series and the occasional full length comedy.
Worst remake ever..."War of the Worlds", what Spielberg and Cruise did to that epic novel, and the original movie with Gene Barry was light years better, is beyond me to understand.
Why do my American producer/director friends Have to change the setting from merry old England to the US??? That is ridiculous, the book takes place in England and the new movie should have as well, I give the American public enough credit that when a top notch movie is released no matter where it's filmed(LOTR, Harry Potter for example), they will go see it. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? You all are going to hate me but I can not stand The Breakfast Club. I most likely would have been a good candidate to play the teacher because I hate disrespect. I was an education major out of high school and changed my major because I would have killed someone probably like those kids in the movie. |

I have a fondness for them as I used to love them as a kid. I adored Sid James as he looked just like my grandpa Sox usually tunes into them when they are aired on tv, they bring back good childhood memories.

Oh Astrid, how could you!! I like Keanu! Have to admit though his abysmal English accent in Bram Stoker's Dracula does make me cringe a bit, but he looks so sexy in it I can overlook it | He nice looking but his acting is ... I can't think of anything but Sucks ! Sorry, If he stood there with his mouth shut..I'd like him better..he's just a dunce to me .He sounds like he READING his lines not acting..it drives me nuts lol
Sorry NO offense

| Re: What movies do you hate? ^^I like Keanu Reeves myself, the first Matrix was good, and I enjoyed Speed as well. Not the greatest actor that is a given, but you know unlike many insufferable louts in that business, he is liked by almost everyone he works with. The stuntmen on the Matrix movies, he bought each of them a Harley Davidson after the shoot was finished. He is a class guy I think, no threat to win an academy award anytime soon though. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? I could name a handful, but here's the two that just popped in my head...
Torque - wow what a LAME craptacular movie... it did give me a pretty good laugh in a few spots though lol (alcohol was involved in getting through it hehe)
Devil Wears Prada - Don't get me started on that piece of trash. It annoyed me to the very core...
Blearg!!! |

I didn't know that - about him buying the stuntmen a Harley each - what a lovely and generous gesture. He has always seemed like an unassuming, genuine guy to me and I have enjoyed quite a few films with him in. But yes Astrid I agree, he aint no Tom Hanks or Johnny Depp on the acting front |

That man can read a telephone book at I'd watch him !
He is a great actor I could list tons of movies I love and he's prob in most of them..and ok he melts me into pools of ...he's the whole package !
although I didn't care for HIS version of Willy Wonka And Choc Factory as much as Gene Wilders' version
He mostly gets things spot on
And Tom Hanks is great..the modern version of James Stewart imo (my ALL time fav actor )

| Re: What movies do you hate? I just watched a movie last night that I really hated - REVOLVER, written/directed by Guy Ritchie, starring Jason Statham. This coulda/shoulda been a great movie right up my alley, but I still have a headache from its incoherent pretentiousness. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? ^^I'm glad I wasn't the only one with a headache from watching that one FretBuzz, a couple of small hints along the way would have made all the difference in the world, as it was I never did understand the whole thing. I even got my Dad to watch it and he was lost too so I didn't feel too bad myself. |

This is an incredibly stoooopid movie. David Hasselhoff in make-up fighting off robots with a light saber.... |
