| Re: What movies do you hate? ^^I never got the excitement over Hunter S. Thompson myself, I guess you had to be there when he was on the cutting edge of journalistic endeavors.
On top of everything else Del Toro was supposed to be playing a 300+ lb Samoan lawyer and he just didn't look the part at all... |

| Re: What movies do you hate? Too many movies to list, seriously.
But here's a quick, short list: - Ishtar - please don't make me explain this one.
- Rush Hour - terrible series, whoever let Chris Tucker into Hollyweird should be shot!
- Ernest - any/all of these Jim Varney movies are really bad.
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Terrible movie, terrible book (although the book is better in that at least you can take out the pages and wipe your ass with it if you run out of toilet paper. It also works as kindling)
- Transformers. Not the live-action films, but that cartoon one from the mid 80's. Seriously, why does anyone like this? I know very few people who do like it that AREN'T on drugs, so I guess that may be it. *shrug*
- Billy Madison - easily the worst thing Sandler has ever done. I do enjoy some of his movies, but this one was awful.
- Dr Strangelove - I have watched this movie 3 times in my life and have yet to understand the ratings it gets or the draw it seems to have.
- The Cat in the Hat - Mike Myers is good at one thing, Shrek and that was only good for 2 movies. Cat In the Hat was so bad.
- Bob Roberts (I'm done giving a comment to them all)
 - Big Lebowski
- Donnie Darko
- A Night At the Roxbury
- Natural Born Killers
- Titanic
- City of God
- Friday - this whole series blew goats
- Wayne's World 2
- Annie Hall
- eXistenZ
- Lost in Translation
- Royal Tenanbaums
- Barbershop 1 & 2
- French Connection II - unbelievable how the first film could be such a great piece of work and the second could be so horrible.
- Magnolia
- Johnny Neumonic
- Man on the Moon
- Raising Arizona
- Thelma and Louise
- To Wong Fu - F.U. Julie Newmar
- White Man's Burden
- You Me and Dupree
- Coneheads
- Beverly Hills Ninja
So much for a short list, I could just keep on going and going. Maybe I'll add more another time. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? You know, I can group up some others real quick too. Simply put, I despise the vast majority of the work by any/all of these people: Twilight - one of the worst series ever created. Michael Moore - Anything and everything this truth bending, agenda-serving piece of shit is involved with. Stanley Kubrick - You know, you could actually put just about every single one of Kubrick's films on this list. The Shining was good because of Nicholson, but the book was 10x better than the film. The film itself was way too long considering how much stuff he completely passed over in the book. The rest of his stuff? Seriously, I've suffered through nearly every film he's done and I don't care for any of it (Other than The Shining and Full Metal Jacket) Monty Python - I liked the Meaning of Life when I was a teen although I doubt I would anymore. Other than that, ish. Unfunny jibberish. 4 or 5 funny lines in each movie does NOT make the movie funny. Life of Brian? terrible. Holy Grail? Terribad with the worst ending in the history of film. Coen Brothers - aside from Blood Simple these guys suck. Seriously, not one of their movies make me laugh, makes me think or makes me feel like I did anything other than waste 2 hrs of my time watching it. No Country For Old Men was pretty decent up until the ending, which really sucked.
Enough for now. |

I can explain it VERY easily. The only way ANY self-respecting man could sit through a Lifetime movie is to do so while drunk. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? Wow. Monty Python got a mention
I love Monty Python. The films don't make sense, and their not meant to.
Also, going to point out that Billy Madison is the only Adam Sandler movie I've ever bothered seeing more than once.
So I don't think my tastes in comedy match up with Lynch's all that well.
I will throw the Hangover into films I can't stand, however (sorry for the millions of fans I've just offended).
Just don't find it as funny as people claim it is, and it becomes a major let-down. |

I love Monty Python also. Favorite is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I also love the TV show of Monty Python. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? Harkat I liked the first "Tron" it was ground breaking in it's day, haven't seen the remake or don't know if it's been released yet...have to look into that.
Have to agree with LivingDead, Monty Python's best movie is the "Holy Grail"...and the TV show is timeless, it still makes me laugh. |

| Re: What movies do you hate? I made the mistake of watching the brilliant, timeless Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas before watching The Hangover, which made me think The Hangover was a sort of bad ripoff, only focusing on the after effects rather than the actual trip. So for that reason, and the fact that the jokes weren't all that funny I also have to condemn The Hangover into the pit of mediocrity...
Also, big props to Monty Python!

One of my mates once went into a pet shop with a stuffed, life-sized realistic looking parrot and did the entire "Dead Parrot" skit to a bemused shop owner.
Was a great day. |
