It is, isn't it? I wish we could KNOW it was true, but that would defeat the whole purpose if we did, right? That's why it's called "faith', but you know, just the WISHING counts for a lot, IMO. The HOPING. Paul talks about that in one of the epistles, but I think Christianity has trivialized his words and interpreted them in such a fashion that they serve it's own means and ends. Maybe "faith" is something everyone has, and not confined to the pious or religious. |

| Re: Reincarnation I got a lot of what I consider "wisdom" from the writings of Neale Donald Walsch. I'm not in agreement with all of his ideas, but definitely the more "important" ones. If you're on facebook check him out: NEALE DONALD WALSCH
...or go to your library or bookstore and get a copy of "Conversations With God". It's thought provoking, if nothing else. |

| Re: Reincarnation we are all energy. Where the energy goes after we die beats me but it has to go somewhere maybe we all reincarnate into a new star.
In regards to people seeing or feel they have been somewhere before or dream of events this one is always a puzzle to me. Is it their life they are dreaming or maybe a relative? |

| Re: Reincarnation Good Gawd! Groovy, that is too funny.
I am with AK on the energy concept. But electricity is also energy, and you can turn it off. There are just too many things that are unexplained.
Like for instance, hypnosis. I am very skeptical on whether a person can be hypnotized by deep relaxation. I am willing to agree they can, just for the arguments sake. When under hypnosis, people have made startling accounts of past lives and events. It does make me wonder if there really is some sort of "body/soul transfrer" or reincarnation. |

Interesting theory.. Just watched a program about the big bang theory the other night and the concept of how our universe came to be was pretty interesting..
Matter finally mixing with anti matter thus causing a disruption in the flow of electrons and causing them to expand in all directions.
But scientist believe that after so much time, matter will once again collapse back to it's original form..
In other words.. We are all apart of the atomic make up of energy and that's where we go when our physical bodies die.. |

| Re: Reincarnation I'm spirit - more then just ''energy'' in a body. Yeah, I know all the scientific logic and man's logic.
But, in my mind, I relate to the spiritual side of things...since I'm a living spirit.
I'm not going to get too serious on this matter, especially after my ladies toilet seat story, I posted earlier. |

I'm not sure what it's made of, exaxctly....but, if you want to say some sort of energy...I won't agrue that. But, I'd rather speak of myself more as a spirit with a soul. I believe, I'm more than just''energy'' - that's all I'm saying, personally. |

I understand.. I just asked that because scientist now have a mega microscope that actually can see what energy looks like..
It's beyond the atom..
Your view is excepting what you've been taught from a religious point of view.. As I call it "The Comfort Zone of mortality".
The answer we all want to believe to be true..
Without Hell, there is no Heaven. So we feel living a life of worship is going to give us a pass to Heaven..
That's OK Groovy..I'm just interested in finding out any facts that would make sense to me since I've never seen God or never had a life after death experience.. |

That's not exactly true....without going into too much detail...I was raised to believe that....but, personally, later on in life, I found out God is real, by my own choosing and seeking.
If you really want to believe if God is real or not?....you have to want God to reveal himself to you, 100%....not 99.9%. God will not force himself on you. God gave you the gift of ''free will'' and the choice of Heaven and Hell. You deciede your own fate. |

| Re: Reincarnation Well you kinda just confirmed what I said above Bro..
Your personal conquest to find God is what you have done..
God = religion.. So you had to base your beliefs on some denomination of religion.
The church would have you believe in Hell.. Why?? Because it keeps you at bay..
I look at religion as a business.. The amount of money made is phenomenal..
Now I'm not trying to piss you off saying that.. But I consider it to be true..
I also take in to account that the Bible was written by man..
And if that's the case, then it could have been designed to instill fear into others to keep their membership intact.
It's been modified over the years and if it was the true word of God then who has the right to modify it??
I base life on the Ten commandments..
think about each one of those..
They all seem to spell out the balance of life..
The premise of all life has two sides.. Good / Bad.. Black / White...Right / Wrong..
Ying /yang and so on..
Disrupt the positive and your going to get the negative..
Positive actions breed positive results.. same with any thing Negative..
Anyways dude.. It's all good.. As I think.. We come in this world alone.. We go out alone..That is a true fact that exist.. |
