Michael Jackson Complete Discography

Michael Jackson is a singer/performer that I've seen reach people in ways I've rarely seen anyone in the art and entertainment industry do period. My best friend and music cohort's first favorite music artist was Micheal Jackson. Now after all the music he's acquired since then he was still a big fan of everything Michael did right up to his death. I have one friend who was a real true fan and could break down every detail of Micheal's music from the cleverly chosen beats right down to the most minute dance step. He really helped me to further realize Micheal's genius. In fact, Micheal's career and legacy is so huge the only thread I felt I could appropriately put this was one where everything was in the title because Micheal was as big as he was because he had everything it took to be at that level and make people love him.

Here are my Favorite Micheal tracks:

Man In The Mirror

(always been a favorite and seeing it become #1 in his catalog for I-tunes after his death was so fitting)

Jam
(a darkhorse song filled with funkiness)

Don't Stop Until You Get Enough
(still infectious as hell 'til this day)

Will You Be There
(such an uplifting song)

They Don't Really Care About Us
(This song rocks!!!! My friend really got me into this one)

Well, I left PLENTY of good ones so feel free to share!

(I'm letting everyone know that this is and will remain a music and performance thread and not a debate or serious issues thread. I don't care what you say about MJ's music whether it's positive or negative but if it veers into disrespectful jokes, non music related debates and controversy then I will consider it trolling and delete the comments on sight. I've seen to much ugliness regarding this artist in general and it's sad to see any artist name put out their and see the most important part, their work skipped for Jerry Springer trash talking! You guys are the most adult forum I've been too so I will expect better and have faith that it won't be a problem! )

Thank you and let's talk Micheal, post your favorite vids and memories!

Good choice. I know that a lot of McCartney fans blow this song off and some flat out despise it. I've always liked it. Much better than The Girl Is Mine (jm2cw)

He was a genius. Sadly many times genius comes with some form of instability.

Acapella

He was the King of the video. One of my favorite songs and videos from MJ
( I understand he designed the shoes/ mechanism to perform the lean)

Off the Wall and Thriller are the only two MJ albums I own, never was a big fan of his myself, but I cannot deny his legacy in the world of pop music.

Nice OP Sooty.

Another really cool tune that he did in the early 90's, with Slash guest-starring on guitar.

Give In To Me

I like my fair share of Michael's songs. "Earth Song" is and always has been my favorite though.

I'll have more to say in this thread later.

I love the picks in this thread!

@ MetalPriest-Is it me or is Paul not one to just collaborate with just anyone whether they are a huge star or not. I know they had a rocky road but I think they had a mutual respect for each other musically even after that!

@ Terra-I really like A Capella and that track is my favorite surprise in this thread! What a great talent! Smooth Criminal is awesome as well for the song and vid!

@ LG-I like his early stuff so Off The Wall is a great pick as well as the HUGE Thriller!

@ Lynch-That song is so cool! It shows that Micheal had an edge for a pop star. It's not balls to the walls rock but it has a slow dark groove with some cool guitar in their. Micheal really plays it straight with no eccentricities in this one and it makes for a great rocking performance!

@ Cosmic-"Heal The World" is a great tearjerker of a song and is pretty powerful! Good pick! Feel free to say whatever you want when you feel up to it!

Oh yeah, I need to get on that. I'd do it tonight but it's been a long day and I just got home from a friends so I'll say more about Michael tomorrow before I dash off to a "party".
