I don't know much about Billy Connolly, except the television appearances over the years. I did like him in "Fido" released a few years back, thought he made a top notch zombie.

Agreed but surprised LG made a modern horror reference in a positive light even if it was a horror comedy!
Fido was filmed in the Okanagan Valley where I have spent many years on vacation so it was an added bonus. Funny/Slapstick horror movies are fine, it's the really cruel dark ones that don't work for me, so Fido was just fun, plus Carrie Ann Moss being in it didn't hurt at all.
Billy's pretty much a household name here and I'm sure he is in the U.K as well. Unfortunately the most I see of him nowadays is in those incredibly annoying ING adverts for income insurance
