I really can not believe people are complaining about this site. As a member of many past now defunct music forums I can say that this forum is very incident and spam free site in comparison to all the others I have been a part of in the past. I have been a member of sites that actually
had members that ran amok and actively harrassed othesr in groups . It was an outright free for all where only the strong or thick skinned survived. Spam was at a ridiculous rate and a lot it would be things like gay porn etc.. some staff worked hard while others added to the endless chaos....

This site has none of that and is extremely well maintained. I seriously feel anyone complaining is more then just a bit of a drama queen. Cheers to the staff for a job well done.

So another big thanks to Sooty, Sharp and Riff from me, you are appreciated
Thank you Tray!

You're welcome. It's well deserved. And while I was describing the wildest of the sites I was ever a long term member of it still applies to a lesser extent to 99 % of the others.
Once again, cheers and a job well done.

I just want to say that the thread was born out of frustration through a minority and we weren't expecting the positive response. There's nothing more needed to drive the point across. If we didn't have it expressed in the OP we had some unexpected examples and verbal support to support our case. All I want to add is that we don't make promises about what we can do but we accept ideas and listen to constructive criticism.

The best way to address those is to express them in the forums "Forum Help, Suggestions, Feedback". Neither one of us are technical wizards and if it's a matter of messing with the program or suggestions to change it from vbulletin to whatever it's not something we can change on a whim and if we make a change like that definitely not an immediate one. That's just a silly example but there's only so many adjustments that can be made in structure We have one boss aka site owner who has even less free time than we do and runs way more sites than this. Big ideas can be communicated to him but it takes a while as well.

So that leaves what we are really here for aside from routine maintenance and conflict resolution. The suggestion we would like is about content. That's what keeps things fresh. Part of our role is participation and we do drop some music threads but the better the ideas for new music content and ideas the better our forum will be. We've covered so much ground that new ways to discuss and share music would be king. That could be a new topic/question or a band thread for a new or uncovered band. It could be any unique approach. Games, purchase discussions, movie watching, etc. are our daily grind but it's the aforementioned that will draw content that brings and hooks new members.

Anyway, we're open to ideas and efforts. My final point is this place is a blank slate. You get what you give and whether the staff is here or not it's the members that make the biggest difference. If you're bored then create, integrate and do something about it. If you're unhappy it shouldn't be because of a forum. That defeats the purpose. The forum is a chosen place to escape and mingle with similar minds. So anyway, while this place or this type of place still exists take advantage of it. Waiting for something or someone else to do it for you makes no sense. Just have fun! Peace!
